June 29th 2013: Ship's A'hoy, It's a boy!!! Baby shower for Ellie and Baby Jack

Cassie and I had a "Sprinkle" of a shower for Ellie and her soon to be little boy Jack.   It was simple and casual!  A perfect girls night. Ell, We are so  happy for you!  What a lucky baby to have you as his mommy! Love these girls!  Looking forward to our next girls night in...our Late over party.

Family swimming party and Swimming lessons June 24th-July 3rd

Olivia and Luella are taking swimming lessons together at Crestwood Pool June 24th-July 3rd. They are in the beginning class and they could have probably been in the class just above this one, but whether they learn a lot or not, they are having a great time together and they are really getting so comfortable in the water!
Becky invited us over to swim at their pool, Liv and Lyla had a great time together, it is so fun to see mini "us"  little Marse and little Becky. Friends at such a young age.

My Mom and Dad's friends and old neighbors moved into this amazing house just up the street and were so nice and offered to let us have a family night at their house.  We grill up hot dogs, had chips cookies pasta salad and array of drinks to share.  This slide was a little aggressive, but Liv seemed to really enjoy it!
Bob and Duncan.  Bob's family is in town from Sacramento, CA for Sara's sisters wedding, this was the only night we were able to see them, but it was a fun one.  Duncan had just gotten his cast off his leg a few days before they came to Utah; he broke it in CA jumping on a neighbors tramp. It was so cute to watch him walk, his muscles had atrophied so much from just crawling around for two months that he walked with a little limp, so cute!  Glad he is on his way to healing!
Liv, Luella and Jaden lounging in the hot tub!
This is the Millers new house from the back...amazing!
 The dinner/grill pit
The boys thought it would be funny to throw mom in the water...they were right!  Thankfully I had the camera in my hands and on the sports setting so we caught a lot of the action.

Liv goes through her phases of favorites, tonight it was uncle Ben, she loved being by him and squirting him. I recently got a smart phone...Finally!  And I use Surrey, the device on the phone that I can ask questions to and ask to call people.   I must use that a lot because the next morning, she gets her play phone and said..."Call, Ben." I laughed so hard. Then throughout the drive to swim lessons i heard her say, " I can't talk right now, I'm talking to Ben."  I had to call Ben and tell him what she said and that he was her current favorite.
Cute, Prego Anna and Millie and Jaden.
Honey and Tyson...This little boy loves Honey.  If she walks in the room and she doesn't hold him right away, he gets so mad and throws a fit.  He would rather have her than me!  I love it, it's so cute!
Mommy and Tyson Playing in the pool.
A Big thanks to the Millers for letting us all come over and invade their home!  We had a great time!

Saturday Fun!

We had a really fun morning, Dad blew the pools up and we filled them up, Liv played while Tyson took a nap and when he woke up, we all had a picnic lunch outside and played some more in the water.  This slide has been a really fun toy for Liv and Tyson, we saw it in front of our neighbors house for a neighborhood cleanup, I called her and asked her if we could have it, she was so nice and even had a few of her boys carry it over. Thanks neighbors! Lance and I sat in the sun and have the burns to prove it...mostly lance, he got it good!  Thankfully we were smart and put it on the kids!

Home Improvement Project!!!

To save money, we did the tear out ourselves...Mostly Lance.  He had to smash up the tile which unfortunately had a cement pad and screws under it.  It was a lot of work.

Then we tore up the carpet and pad so that we could get our real wood floors installed.  This took two days because he had to make our floor level in the middle.  But it turned out great, he did a great job!  Tyler Yearsley from Quality Flooring.
Thankfully we had our carpet installed on Saturday so we were both home to move things around when they finished one room at a time.  My mom was so sweet and took our kids on Friday night so that Lance and I could tear up the carpet, pad and screws without having to worry about our kids getting in the way or getting hurt from the nails and screws.  Thanks a million Mom! We slept over at their house too because our house was completely dismantled.
We still don't know what happened but Lance was back at our house at 8:30 am and no carpet guys... I called around 10...he didn't know where they would be so he called them and couldn't get a hold of them.  finally by noon I told Lance to just come over and eat lunch with us and wait for their call.  Lance was almost at my parents and sure enough I get a call.  "The carpet guys are on their way to your house."  Lance had to hurry and eat and get back to our house. They were not the original guys, they had been called in last minute to get our job done bc the original guys were not answering. so finally by 1:00, our carpet was underway.  It was done by 6. Finally all done!  Well we still have to move our things back, but the big parts were over!  It is seriously like moving!  But it is all worth it and looks great!

 Isn't it lovely!?
 Isn't it wonderful!?

We even bought new drapes, it's like we live in a brand new house!  I think I want to paint the walls now...they call this the snowball effect!
Tyson even likes our new floor!
Liv uses our old camera and loves it!  She thought it would be a really good idea to take a picture of me taking a picture of her!  It was!

Tyson 1st Haircut and just being silly at home

They love this game, peek a boo behind  the high-chair.  It's nice, it entertains both of them.
I gave Tyson his first haircut the last night, I thought it turned out pretty well for having only cut lances hair a few times via Whitney's cutting lesson. He now has 5 teeth 3 on top and 2 on bottom, just waiting for that other top one to come in.  Teething is not fun!  He doesn't sleep well, but now that these teeth are in, he is only waking up one or maybe two times a night and it is heavenly!
Tyson is also looking like he wants to walk, you can tell he gets frustrated especially when he is tired.  He kicks one of his legs in the air when he is in crawling position like he is trying to jump start himself.  It's pretty funny, we try to help him walk a few times a day so he can build those legs muscles.
They can play pretty well together but she can also get annoyed with his constant want to play with her so she'll push him away or use him like a pillow, which he likes for a while then hates it!  The other day she came crying to me because Tyson had pulled her hair, and I told her that he wouldn't pull it if she wasn't laying her head on him and squashing him.  They'll learn...hopefully
We are getting new carpet and floors soon, It has been really nice not to have to worry if she spills something!  We decided to make some messes.  We made lemon pudding and wrote letters and drew pictures in it, we also got to play with her playdough in her room, which is usually a no no. We ate lots of snacks on the carpet and didn't stress if we spilled.  I debated having her paint the carpet but I don't want her to think that is okay when we get the new stuff.  We are also thinking about painting out aqua wall, so we got some samples and while I was painting them, we let her paint on the wall too with her washable paints, she loved it, but was REALLY sad when we had to wash it off.  Bummer!
