FHE Activity...sock puppets

Here are our sock puppets: Sally and Spike. We had a great time making these and of coarse Liv loved naming them and of coarse, Tyson loved making a mess or the ribbon bag.

 I love this boys smile!

February 21st: Fort day

Today we put blankets all around our table in the kitchen to make a fort.  We even brought our lamp for the living room in.  We ate snacks in their, and it only took liv about 5 times of hitting her head to remember to duck...poor head.

February 14-17: Trip to St. George

Swinging outside in the warm sunshine.  It is so nice to be out of inversion, cold sandy.

 Daddy and Tyson playing.
Mommy just finished making the kids 7 new file folder games for church and indoor days and I am ready to relax and enjoy the views.  My mom was sending out Valentines Cards
Happy Valentines Day! Here is Livia and I with our beautiful strawberries that we dipped in white Chocolate and drizzled in pink chocolate.
Swimming at the Aquatics Center, We love it there because they let the little kids go down the big slide.  Liv is a water baby and I think Tyson had a pretty good time too!

after trying to fly a kite and going for a walk we hung out in front of the house and played some hop scotch and had snacks.

This makes me so happy...I asked Liv to smile and this is what I got!  Love it!
Uh oh...mommy is needed after tripping and falling on the sidewalk.  All is better after a kiss and snuggle.

Outside riding Jaden's razor scooter and looking for lizards.

Livie was happy to snuggle with Poppy after decorating him with her stuffed puppies: pickles and dot.

We also went to the parade of homes while we were there. We only saw 4 houses but the ones we saw were pretty amazing. It's hard to imagine having some of the things that these people had in these houses. so amazing. We also stayed up late one night and watch Skyfall...good movie.

February 5th: Dancing with Daydee "the horse"

For Christmas, Liv got a stuffed horse and immediately started riding it.  We then asked her what the horsed name was and without hesitation she said, " Daydee the horse."  And she has been Daydee the horse ever since.
Today, along with playing with balloons, we turned on some fun kids music that we got from the library and danced, we did ring around the rosie with Daydee, Liv danced for so long that her cheeks were all red and hot. It was so cute to see her have such a good time just dancing and being silly.

February 5th: Playing with Balloons

We were bored today, so we got out a few balloons and had a "ball" we threw them in the air and Tyson was cracking up, Liv and I threw them up in the air and drew pictures of our faces on them for over an hour.  Great way to pass the time!

January 22nd: Tyson loves his bouncer

Tyson loves his bouncer and his over-stimulation station!  He is sure a cute one! He is really starting to make a lot of sounds and they are hilarious because they are these high pitched little screams, but they have some serious volume!

Snuggling with Daddy

Lance finally got an iphone...(someday I will have one too and be apart of the 21st century, but don't need one right now) and Liv loves care bears lately and she loves to snuggle with daddy and watch care bears on his phone when he gets home.  That is about the only thing we will let her do on the phone, we want our phones to stay ours...Here's hoping!

January 18th: Cloud Dough

This was such a fun thing!  I originally go the idea from my sister in law, Sara. She made this for her boy Duncan a while ago and Liv played with him and they had such a great time.  It was so easy to make and Liv played with this for over an hour the first day and we have played with it 2 other times since then.  I just got Liv in her play shirt, layed out an old wipe off table cloth that we have used for painting and other projects and put it in a bin that we had lying around.  We put some sea shells, plastic turtles and fish, sippy cups for castles and a crab bath toy.  It is so fun to see the imagination run wild with just a few things to spark it!

January 15th: Fun with Food Coloring

All of this cold winter weather and yucky flu's and cold's going around are keeping us inside, but I have been trying to find fun activities everyday that will make the inside fun.  Here is liv experimenting with food coloring, oil and water.  It was pretty fun, once we got too much color in there is was hard to see the movement anymore, but fun to see what happens with these 3 ingredients. Try it!

Starting a new...

2013 is a new year and I have decided that I am going to start blogging again. It seems that every time I want to post something on facebook, i think, I don't really care is anyone knows the fun things I do with my kids or the exciting little moments of life, just as long as I am doing those things, I will feel accomplished as a mom, wife and woman. It has officially been over a year since my last blog, but I hope to change that this year. Thanks to friends and family who have motivated this movement with their blogs and exciting views on life!

The Quote of the month: January 2009

I really enjoy having something to think about each month so I thought I should continue putting a qoute up each month. Please feel free to add more if you have inspiration to share!

This is a great one to start the year off!
